1. In order to get the registration of the primary co-operative society, one has to apply along with the district co-operative officer through the upazila co-operative officer.
2. After receiving the registration from the Cooperative Department, the organizational, financial, investment and other activities of the Primary Cooperative Societies are inspected / regularly supervised by this office.
3. Annual audits are conducted to ensure transparency in the activities of the primary co-operative societies. Through which the confidence of the members in accounting increases.
4. If any financial irregularity or any irregularity is observed among the members of the primary co-operative society, they can get legal help by informing the office.
5. In addition to inspecting the normal activities of the society by ensuring the presence of general members during the inspection of the society by the Upazila Cooperative Officer / Assistant Inspector, steps can be taken to raise the awareness of the general members on compulsory primary education / sanitation / anti-dowry movement / family planning / child marriage prevention etc.
